My name is Rachel. I’m a politically liberal seeker of God (Christian), a former doctoral student in public health who decided to pursue alternative career plans, a social worker, a wife, the “parent” of a massive dog and a cat, and a hopeful parent (of humans). I’m passionate about many things: politics, international affairs, international development, adoption (especially ethics of, and child development related to), autism, the rights of families, women, children.

For what it’s worth, I rarely edit my posts and I write them very quickly. This means that sometimes they suck, and sometimes they’re good.

(Although apparently, blog etiquette would suggest that I commit to one topic, I am incapable of that.)
